You will receive an email notification when your FRM exam results are released. You will be able to login to your candidate portal and see whether you passed or failed and how you performed in each topic area compared to other candidates.
You need to login to your GARP profile and navigate to the exam results section to view your results.
No, FRM results do not expire. Once you pass both parts of the exam, you have five years to meet your work experience requirement (two years of full-time work experience in a risk-related field) to complete your certification.
The FRM exam is offered in approximately 90 locations worldwide so no matter if you are in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, or London, expect your exam results to be available to you sometime in the morning within eight weeks of sitting for the exam.
You will receive a pass/fail notification along with percentile ranges that correspond to how other candidates performed in each topic area. There is no numerical score that gets assigned to your performance on the exam.
Some FRM candidates take both Part I and Part II during the same exam window. For example the August exam window offers Part I in an AM session and Part II in a PM session. If you decide to do this and fail Part I, your Part II exam will not be graded.
Interpreting your FRM Exam results are pretty straightforward. You will receive a letter indicated a pass status and then you can check your quartile results for each topic in your GARP online dashboard. Below is what your quartile results will look like.
Yes, you can share that you passed a FRM exam on your resume, or social media or with your employer. You will even have the opportunity to allow GARP to contact your supervisor for permission to announce your achievement.
However, you are not allowed to share the specifics of your FRM exam results including, your quartile rankings or any detail about the exam content like specific exam questions.
FRM pass rates are rarely the same for each exam administration but lately Part I rates have been increasing and Part II rates have been decreasing.
As you strive for a positive outcome from FRM exam grading, consider making Kaplan Schweser FRM study materials—complete with classes, practice exams, and mock exams—the centerpiece of your mission to earn a passing grade on both parts of the FRM exam.
